1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect when you use https://prepcozy.com and related services, how we use and share it, and what choices you have.
PrepCozy provides AI-powered TOEFL practice, score context, and feedback features, including writing evaluation and speaking-related analysis.
2. Personal data we collect
- Account and identity data, such as your email address, password hash, and locale settings
- Study content you submit or generate, such as essays, audio responses, transcripts, attempts, scores, and feedback history
- Usage and device data, such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, page events, and approximate location derived from IP
- Payment metadata from third-party processors, such as payment status, tokenized method, and card last four digits
- Support and communication data, such as messages, bug reports, survey responses, and marketing preferences
Note: If you use speaking features, audio and transcripts may be stored so we can generate feedback, show history, troubleshoot issues, detect abuse, and improve quality where permitted.
3. How we use personal data
- To provide the service, authenticate your account, save your history, and display your progress
- To evaluate speaking and writing responses and deliver TOEFL-related feedback
- To improve product quality, reliability, prompts, scoring workflows, and internal analysis
- To secure the service, prevent fraud, and enforce our Terms of Service
- To send service notifications, receipts, product updates, and promotions if you opt in
- To comply with legal, accounting, tax, and dispute-resolution obligations
Note: Where permitted, we may use de-identified or aggregated study artifacts and pseudonymized usage logs to improve prompts, features, and scoring quality. If you want to opt out of model or service improvement beyond delivering the service itself, email support@prepcozy.com with the subject "Model Improvement Opt-Out".
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies or similar technologies to remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure performance, and improve the user experience.
You can manage cookies in your browser settings, but disabling them may affect parts of the service.
5. When we share data
- With service providers such as hosting, databases, analytics, email delivery, logging, and payments processors operating under contractual restrictions

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and respond appropriately if a security incident occurs.
